I came in the picture

I was born on March 7, 1996. 

The same day my father's mother was born.

It was a dream a come true.

For my parents got their wish-

their dream baby.

Frankly, I never knew anything about my "making" from my parents and how they felt about it. To put it in a nutshell:

• Both my father and mother have more boys in their respective families than girls. Making it not hard to bear a son. But a daughter is another thing.
• My mother religiously followed her doctor the "How to make a baby girl" manual.
• My mothers' friends made a bet to what my gender will be.
• My father was doubtful with all of it.
• Then, came me, a baby with a XX chromosome.
