Sing your heart out

One significant thing that happened in my life is joining the church choir when I was 6 years old. I was in the choir for almost 11 years, I stopped when I entered college level because I couldn't handle the schedule.

My brother and I in our uniforms

I learned a lot of things in my years of being in the choir.

  • Being punctual about time.
  • Learning to take care of your stuff.
  • Following the rules in regards to clothing. In other words, being presentable.
  • Reading the musical notes but with the organ's accompaniment.
  • Being quiet and obedient
But the most valuable lesson I learned in being in the choir is:

Singing with your heart

During a birthday celebration of one of my friends, I didn't attend and worst of all- I forgot about it. So as a post-birthday gift. I sang a song for her.

Here is a little snippet
